MEDICAP and PHOSCAP SYSTEMIC TREE IMPLANTS
Designed to remain safely in the tree or shrub, the contents are delivered “systemically” throughout the tree with the sap flow. Within a few weeks the outer bark will callous over the implant site, leaving no empty containers to dispose of, a win-win for the applicator and the environment. Ten implants will effectively treat up to a 35cm diameter trunk.
Many abiotic and biotic factors can cause a decline in the vigour of your tree or shrub. Systemic tree implants can help to correct the health disorders and promote new growth by supplying nutrients directly into the vascular system. Most trees can be treated in between 5 and 10 minutes and the effects of the treatments are long-lasting.
These implants are ideal for the home gardener, arborist, landscape gardener, golf course curator, nursery manager, private landholder, orchard manager, forester and are available in a range of sizes to treat saplings as small as 4cm in diameter up to the largest tree.
POCKET DIAGNOSTIC - IN-FIELD DIAGNOSIS OF PLANT DISEASES
Our kits put the control back in the hands of the growers for improved disease management. They give technical advisors greater certainty over advice; saving time and money for clients. They help to optimise laboratory diagnosis for pathologists and therefore reduce resource wastage.
Pocket Diagnostic kits are used around the world by specialists demanding reliability, speed and above all, on-site answers. We also offer the brand new PDplus™ service for the identification of Phytophthora to species level using a combination of a Pocket Diagnostic™ lateral flow device (LFD) and DNA analysis. If a Pocket Diagnostic test shows a positive result for Phytophthora, PDplus™ can be used to identify which species of the pathogen is present.

AVO-JECT SYRINGES
Arborcura is the exclusive importer and distributor of AVO-JECT tree injection syringes into Australia. This new and cheaper syringe has been designed for the injection of phosphorous acid (phosphite) into trees for the control of Phytophthora. This low pressure syringe is considered by many in the Avocado industry (South Africa, New Zealand and California) as superior to high pressure systems.

High-pressure systems tend to force the neutralised acid into “spaces” in the xylem and the phosphorous does not move as efficiently up to the leaves and subsequently down the phloem pathway to the roots. Damage from high-pressure systems can accumulate over time.
A unique feature of the syringe is the easily adjusted plunger stop which allows the lightly pressured cushion of air behind the fluid (which assists in the tree up take process) to be altered as necessary.
This syringe has received widespread industry support and is recognised as one of the leading tools in control of Phytophthora in New Zealand. These quality syringes do not degrade in the sun, and have a relatively small tip giving minimal tree damage.
